Business listing photos and descriptions: a practical seller’s guide
Help buyers understand the business with recent photographs, specific details and a clear distinction between public information and private documents.
Write a title that identifies the opportunity
Start with the type of business and its location. Add a distinguishing feature only when it is accurate and useful. A title such as “Beauty salon for sale in Doha” says more than “Amazing investment opportunity”. Avoid unsupported claims such as guaranteed profit or the best return. The purpose of the title is to help a suitable buyer recognise a relevant listing.
Give the summary and description different jobs
Use the short summary for the main activity, general location and what makes the opportunity distinctive. In the full description, explain the operation, premises, facilities and what you intend to include in the sale. State facts you can support, and leave optional financial figures blank when they are unknown. If circumstances change, update the listing so the review team can check the revised information.
Choose photographs that answer buyers’ questions
A clear cover photograph should represent the actual business. Add recent views of the main customer area, workspace and relevant equipment where appropriate. Choose well-lit, sharp photographs and avoid repeating the same angle. Upload JPG, PNG or WebP files up to 5 MB each in the Business photos section. The first photograph is the cover; check the preview before you submit.
Keep confidential material out of public images
Approved listing photos are public. Check for visible customer names, phone numbers, computer screens, identification documents or confidential paperwork before uploading. Use the private PDF document option for material that requires controlled access. Arabic text is optional; if you add a translated version, review names, amounts and the scope of the sale in both languages.
